Throwing A Hollywood or Red Carpet-Inspired Party? Here’s What You Should Do
Whether it’s for your birthday, a recognition event in the office, or just a random party you want to throw with your friends, a Hollywood-themed party is always an evening to remember. The first things that come to mind when thinking about a Red Carpet party are VIP guests, paparazzi, and glitz and glamour. That said, this style of party almost always requires flair, and should therefore be carefully planned and thought of. Here are some of the things you need to think about during the planning process.
Dress To Impress
The key to dressing up for a Hollywood-themed event is to look good and fashionable without being overly formal. The mantra is simple – dress to impress. Guests should be informed to arrive to the party in style. This will help them get into the mindset. The host or the emcee himself or herself should look elegant wearing a red and black dress or suit and tie.
Hors D’oeuvres Food & Drinks
Food and drinks should be kept simple. As much as possible, stick to appetisers, light snacks, and other types of food that are easy to prepare and handle. Choose drinks that are meant for celebrating such as sparkling apple cider or champagne. Keep everyone in the mood by limiting drinks to champagne flutes and bubbly drinks. Unless there is going to be a formal sit down dinner as part of the event, heavy food should not be on the menu.
There are so many ways you can decorate a Hollywood party, but the most important thing you must never forget is the red carpet. It would be great if you have a red carpet that you can use, but if not, you can simply rent or purchase one. Just remember that the carpet should be long enough to reach the entrance of the venue, so that guests could walk on it all the way to the venue’s main hall. Make sure you encourage everyone to take lots of pictures and welcome and cheer for other guests as they arrive.
High Energy Music
Music sets the mood of every party. For a celebrity-themed party, high-energy music is a must. Set up some loud speakers outside and play the hottest club music to get everyone hyped. If you can, do hire a DJ or even a live band to keep the night alive. 
Professional Photography
Photos are what will keep the memory of your Red Carpet alive. Make sure you hire a professional photographer to act as the “paparazzi” for the main event. Have him take photos of the guests as they walk on the red carpet. Try setting up a Photo Booth in one of the corners of the venue as well. This way, you won’t have to worry about what party favours to give. Guest will love the fact that they can have as many photos of themselves as they can while they are looking their best and even get to take them home right after the party!
